The Free English Courses Are Open on the Santander Becas Platform; The Scholarship Offers the Candidate 3 Months of Free Access
Santander Universities, in partnership with the British Council, offers 5,000 scholarships for individuals over 18 years old in free online English courses. The partnership includes three months of free access to the British Council’s Learn English Select course and will primarily focus on business English. Interested individuals must register for the program on the scholarship website by tomorrow, April 14.
About the Free English Courses
The free English courses will cover the following topics: job interview preparation in English for the workplace, grammar and vocabulary, establishing professional connections, and developing communication skills for meetings, presentations, and lectures. These courses include various levels from A1 to C1. Each level consists of 48 lessons, including games and exercises, which amount to two hours of study per week over three months.
The Requirements to Participate in the Courses
Be between 18 and 35 years old at the time of registration; Be a national or resident of the following countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Mexico, Spain, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, the USA, Uruguay; Have an email address.

The free English courses will run from May 10 to August 10, 2021. Students must complete the course in 3 months. To participate in this course, students must have a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a microphone, audio capabilities, and a good internet connection.
The Steps of the Selection for the Free English Courses:
- Applications will be open from March 30 to April 14;
- Evaluation of the applicants will take place from May 16 to May 17;
- The selection of candidates will be announced on May 17.
How to Enroll in the Free English Courses:
Applications close on April 14, and you can register on the website. On the right side of the platform, click on “Register.” After registering, the pre-selected candidates will undergo a placement test and then will sign up for the British Council’s Learn English Select platform.
