The Italian Automaker Confirms It Will Launch One New Vehicle Per Year Until The End Of The Decade, Within The Billion Dollar Investment From The Stellantis Group For Latin America
Fiat has officially announced an ambitious strategy for Brazil: to launch five new cars by 2030, with the promise of introducing one model per year starting in 2026. This offensive is part of the more than R$ 30 billion in investments that Stellantis announced for Latin America in 2024, aimed at redesigns, new generations, and new launches. The goal is to reposition the brand with accessible, technological, and sustainable vehicles, expanding its presence across different market segments.
As explained by Frederico Battaglia, vice president of the Fiat and Abarth brands in Brazil, the aim is to deliver modern cars without sacrificing price. According to him, “it’s no use making a car that has four jets, flies, makes cappuccino, gives massages, and then costs US$ 1 billion that no one can buy.” The company’s vision is clear: to unite technology, safety, and sustainability, but with prices compatible with the Brazilian consumer’s wallet.

First Novelty: Compact Hatch Inspired By The European Grande Panda
Although Fiat is keeping future models under wraps, the first step is already underway. The new compact family will initially feature a hatch inspired by the European Fiat Grande Panda, set to replace the current Mobi and Argo. The car is currently undergoing tests in Brazil disguised under the body of a Citroën C3, as both use the same Smart Car platform – an evolution of the old CMP.

The design will follow the trends of the European Panda, with straight lines, an urban SUV look, and pixel-like block headlights, conveying modernity. Sources indicate that this model could be the first electric car from Stellantis produced in Brazil, thanks to adaptations at the Betim (MG) factory, which will begin assembling electrified vehicles in addition to the mild hybrid system already present in the Pulse.
According to information released by Quatro Rodas magazine, this hatch has a good chance of debuting as early as 2026, kicking off the brand’s new offensive.
SUVs, Pickup, And Even A Van Are On Fiat’s Radar
After the hatch, Fiat is expected to follow a strategic sequence. The planning includes:
- A Compact SUV to replace the current Fiat Pulse.
- A Coupe SUV that will succeed the Fiat Fastback.
- An All-New Pickup, heir to the market leader Strada.
- And finally, even a Van, which could take on the role of a new Doblò.
These models are expected to arrive gradually by 2030, one each year, consolidating the renewal of the lineup. The focus is on catering to everyone from consumers looking for an affordable urban car to professionals in need of utility vehicles for work.
Possible Electric Models Coming: 500 Abarth And Fiat 600e

Another relevant point is electrification. If the debut of the compact family is pushed to 2027, there is a chance that Fiat will launch a fully electric model in 2026. Among the candidates are the electric 500 Abarth or the Fiat 600e, an SUV derived from the iconic Fiat 500.

The 600e, for instance, is already sold in Europe with a friendly design and power suitable for urban use, reinforcing the strategy of offering a portfolio that combines tradition with innovation. This investment in electric vehicles underscores Stellantis’ commitment to accelerating the energy transition and establishing Fiat as a leader in the new automotive era.
In your opinion, which of the five Fiat launches by 2030 is most likely to win over the Brazilian public: the hatch inspired by the Panda, the SUVs, the pickup, or the new van?
