You can't remove the plated belt!! The model exported to Argentina already has a timing chain, so why didn't they take the opportunity to change it?
Doing the correct maintenance will not cause a BO
The manufacturer is so confident in the product that if you continue to do proper maintenance at the dealership, the warranty is 240 km. Now, doing maintenance with oil is not recommended.
Does it still come with an oil-plated belt?????
Yes. However, if you do the inspection correctly at the dealership, the belt warranty is 240 km, in other words, it is a 24-year warranty. If you do it at the dealership, the inspection is every 10 km or 12 months, in other words, you do the inspection once a year, and the guy still prefers to use products not recommended by the manufacturer, so he says that the problem is the belt bathed in oil.
And when it reaches 240 thousand km, you will have already paid for another vehicle just in revisions. And Chevrolet still insists on oil-immersed belts, are you crazy, how stupid!
The engine must be good but it's simple, change the pulleys and put a chain on and the problem will be solved. I don't know why it's so difficult or stubborn to do this.
Not to mention the cost for those who don’t live near the dealership.
No timing belt????? It's still the same, that is, a headache in sight
