CATL Developed Battery Cells With Pre-Lithiation, Ensuring 15 Years Of Lifespan, And Yutong Will Be The First To Implement Them In Electric Buses.
CATL recently revealed the development of a new type of battery cell that guarantees a lifespan of 15 years, remaining intact even after a thousand charging cycles. This innovation is about to be implemented by the electric bus manufacturer, Yutong.
Known for its pioneering spirit in the electric vehicle segment, Yutong will be the first to adopt the new battery cells developed by CATL in its electric bus models.
Electric Buses Equipped With Cells That Last 15 Years
Yutong already uses battery cells with a 10-year lifespan, so as the first to adopt the new technology developed by CATL, an improvement in the autonomy and efficiency of electric buses is expected.

China has activated a magnet 700,000 times more powerful than the Earth’s magnetic field that operates for over 200 consecutive hours while consuming little energy, and now the world wants to know what Beijing plans to do with this technology in 2026.
CATL has stood out in the market as the main supplier of LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) cells for various electric vehicle manufacturers around the world.
Now, with this technological advance, the company promises to further elevate the quality and durability standards of lithium batteries.
CATL Launches Lithium Batteries With 15-Year Warranty
The key differentiator of this new cell is the pre-lithiation process, which adds lithium to the cell and keeps it almost intact after a thousand charging cycles.
This process is accompanied by the addition of an electrolyte component that compensates for the rapid degradation typical of the first hundred charging cycles.
According to the disclosed data, the projected lifespan of LFP cells with pre-lithiation is nearly double that of conventional cells, representing an advance in the development of high-performance and long-lasting batteries.
CATL also announced that the new battery cells will come with a 15-year warranty or approximately 1.6 million kilometers driven, providing even more safety and confidence to consumers.
It is worth noting that these batteries are already in production, which means they will soon be available on the market.

1000 ciclos🤔. Se ônibus carregar 6 dias por semanas, em menos de 2 anos, é isso?
Onde está escrito que é uma carga por dia!!!
