With the Adherence to the Initiative of the Comptroller General of the Union, the Company Reaffirms Its Commitment to Good Governance Practices and the Development of an Organizational Culture Against Corruption
Considered the largest logistics integrator in Latin America, Asia Shipping announces its adherence to the Brazil Pact for Business Integrity. A pioneer in its segment, by joining the initiative proposed by the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU), the company, which already has clear ESG-established policies, reaffirms its commitment to ethics and good governance practices by voluntarily assuming a public commitment to integrity throughout the business operation cycle.
According to Alexandre Pimenta, CEO of Asia Shipping, the company adhered to the Brazil Pact after fulfilling two stages, the first being the signing of the adhesion term, and the second, the performance of a self-assessment. In this last stage, the company filled out a form that aims to prevent, detect, and remedy illicit acts; mitigate socio-environmental risks resulting from its operations; and foster a culture of integrity in the organizational environment.
“We follow all parameters for ethical, responsible, and transparent governance, always in line with our purpose of guiding clients on intelligent paths. This initiative reaffirms the values expressed in our internal integrity program and the best practices listed in our ESG booklet. We believe that by saying ‘no’ to what is unethical, we create a trusting relationship with our operational chain, promote an environment of fair competition, encourage innovation, and stimulate the sustainable growth of those who operate in our segment,” declares the executive.
