Cladtek Signs Historic Contract with Allseas for Supply of Pipes to the Búzios Field in the Pre-Salt.
The multinational Cladtek has just signed a highly relevant contract with Allseas, significantly expanding its operation in the Brazilian offshore energy sector. The agreement involves the supply of 120 kilometers of mechanically lined pipes (MLP) with anti-corrosive alloys for the Búzios field in the pre-salt layer of the Santos Basin, operated by Petrobras.
This is, according to the company, the largest project in the history of the Brazilian state-owned company in terms of MLP manufacturing scope — a milestone for national engineering and technological advancement in ultra-deep waters.
Cutting-Edge Technology at 2,000 Meters Depth
The MLP piping system from Cladtek will be installed at a depth of about 2,000 meters, operating under extreme conditions to interconnect 16 wells to the FPSO (floating production, storage, and offloading unit).

Brazil could become a global oil powerhouse with reserves jumping from 17 billion to 23.5 billion barrels, investments of US$ 30 billion per year, and exploration in the Equatorial Margin that could extend Brazilian production until 2042.

While Brazil discussed the transition, Petrobras unlocked 11 new platforms in the pre-salt until 2027 — Búzios alone receives 6 FPSOs and targets 1 million barrels/day.

The lines include risers, water alternating gas (WAG) lines, and flow lines designed to meet complex and dynamic operational requirements.
Support for Energy Transition with CO₂ Injection
A special highlight of this contract is the support for Petrobras’s carbon capture and storage (CCUS) strategy.
About 50 km of the MLP pipes will be specifically used for gas and CO₂ injection, demonstrating Cladtek’s commitment to sustainable and low-carbon solutions, aligned with the global energy transition.
100% National Production Strengthens Brazilian Industry
All manufacturing processes will be carried out at Cladtek Brazil’s facilities, using 100% Brazilian labor.
This delivery meets the local content requirements established by Allseas and by Petrobras itself, strengthening the national production chain and boosting qualified jobs in the country.
“Petrobras has been highlighting the importance of the Búzios field and the timeline for the first oil from Búzios 10, and we are increasing our capacity to support this timeline with more investments in Brazil,” said Eduardo Menezes, Senior Vice President of Global Engineering, Projects, and the Americas at Cladtek.
Cladtek Solidifies Leadership in the Offshore Sector
The contract reinforces Cladtek’s strategic role in Brazilian offshore development.
The company demonstrates technical capability and local structure to meet current and future demands of large energy projects, solidifying its position as a key partner for global operators in the country.
“This contract reflects our ongoing role in the offshore development of Brazil (…). Our local operations and technical capacity position us to meet the current and future demands of the projects,” concluded Menezes.
With this new move, Cladtek reaffirms its commitment to the growth of the national energy sector, integrating innovation, technology, and social development in one of the most promising fields in the pre-salt.
