The main objective of ABG Mining with the investment in the Potiguar city is, without a doubt, the leveraging of production potential and even greater profitability. However, the company’s business will also bring a series of benefits to the city, with the main one being the generation of job opportunities for workers during the factory’s construction phase.
Regarding the jobs that will be generated in the municipality, Mayor Allyson Bezerra highlighted that “We welcomed ABG Mining, which is investing in the municipality of Mossoró in building a new and modern cement factory that will create over 1,000 jobs in the cement sector. Mossoró has a very special characteristic; we have quality limestone and clay in abundance. And our limestone has a low impurity content, meaning it is suitable for producing clinker and subsequently cement.”
The finalization of the agreement between the city hall of Mossoró and ABG Mining occurred after a meeting between the head of the Economic Development, Innovation and Tourism Secretariat, Franklin Filgueira, the president of the Commercial and Industrial Association of Mossoró (ACIM), Nilson Brasil, and the director of PROEX Engenharia LTDA, Paulo Coelho, with the company’s representatives.
