With Surprising Financial Results in 2018, Aker Solutions Acquires the Remaining 30% to Take Full Control of CSE, Strengthening Its Presence in Mature Fields in Brazilian Territory.

It was only a matter of time before Aker Solutions’ sovereignty over CSE was established. In 2016, when the Norwegian company acquired 70% of CSE, the market behavior for the coming years was anticipated, gradually diversifying its services in Brazil and entering the maintenance area, as it primarily executed Subsea services within the national territory. A few days ago, Aker Solutions finally decided to purchase the remaining 30%, now holding 100% of CSE’s share control.

CSE will maintain its independence as a service provider, both in onshore and offshore units, with the change being in share control. It is worth noting that in 2018, CSE included in its service contract with Petrobras, an additional 9 platforms for maintenance services, belonging to UO-BC (Operation Unit of Exploration and Production of the Campos Basin)

Aker Solutions’ Profits and Its Focus on Brazil

2018 ended with an excellent balance in Aker Solutions’ account, around 25.2 billion Norwegian kroner(US$ 2.9 billion), an approximate increase of 14% compared to 2017. The net profit was 64 million dollars during this same period.

The Norwegian company will continue to invest heavily in mature fields, especially in the Campos Basin. The cities of Macaé and Rio das Ostras, which concentrate most of its operations, will benefit from the royalties and taxes that will result from these activities.

The manager of Aker Solutions in the video below asserts that the company is indeed coming to significantly increase its presence in our territory. Watch it below or access the full article here for detailed information.
