The New Price Increase by Apple Applies to All Previous Generations Until the iPhone 13 and Will Take Place at Official Stores of the Brand
Apple, one of the most famous smartphone brands today, has decided to increase the prices for battery replacement for some iPhone models that are not under warranty. This battery replacement service will increase by R$ 158 and will take effect from March 1, 2023.
This new price increase for battery replacement will apply to all previous iPhone generations up to the iPhone 13, with Apple not having officially announced the news but only placing a text on the customer support official page.
Apple customers who do not want to pay more for the battery replacement service must make this replacement by February 28, and it is worth noting, that this increase does not apply to Apple Care and Apple Care+ users.

Significant Price Increase for Batteries
After the price increase for batteries decided by Apple, the cost for replacing the iPhone 11, for example, would jump from R$541 to R$699, with the same price applicable for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13. Following this same example, the batteries for the iPhone 7, 8, and SE would go from R$386 to R$544.
In addition to this “adjustment” made by Apple for iPhones, the company will also charge more for batteries for the iPad and MacBook, starting on March 1. This adjustment will be R$235 for MacBook Air and R$400 for MacBook and Pro, while battery replacements for iPads will be R$200. It is worth noting that the new prices for Apple iPhone, iPad, and MacBook batteries will only be valid at the brand’s authorized service centers, including the official Apple stores, which are located, for example, in Morumbi Shopping in São Paulo and in Village Mall in Rio de Janeiro.
Furthermore, this increase in battery prices does not affect unauthorized technical services, meaning that customers may lose their Apple warranty if the replacement is carried out at an unauthorized service center, if the product still has one.
