The Drilling of New Wells by PetroRio Will Take Place at the Frade Field in the Campos Basin. The Company Is Offering Job Openings in the State of Rio de Janeiro
On April 26, PetroRio obtained the Operating License granted by the Brazilian Institute of Environment (Ibama) for the drilling of new wells in the Frade field, located in the Campos Basin. After receiving the Ibama authorization, PetroRio, which is offering several job openings in Rio de Janeiro, mobilized the Norbe VI rig from Ocyan to begin revitalization of the field in the coming days.
About the New Well Drilling Project by PetroRio
Roberto Monteiro, CEO of PetroRio, recently informed that the drilling campaign for new wells at the Frade field will receive US$ 210 million in investments. In the first stage of the Frade field revitalization project, three wells will be drilled, including one production well and two injection wells. In the next phase, which has no date, three new wells are expected to be drilled.
In the future, PetroRio intends to interlink the Wahoo field, also in the Campos Basin, to the FPSO of Frade. Thus, PetroRio will form another production cluster, sharing all infrastructure with the Frade field, just as was done with Tubarão Martelo and Polvo.
