The operations will be used for the Búzios 5 Project by Petrobras, which Saipem is part of after signing an agreement with the state-owned oil company.

It signed an agreement for the transport of offshore passengers for the Santos Basin region, where operations for the Búzios 5 Project by Petrobras will take place.
The offshore operator had previously signed an agreement with the state-owned oil company for the provision of the subsea system for the fifth production system to be installed in the Búzios Field.
According to the contract signed between the carrier and the offshore operator, the passenger transportation services are set to begin in March 2023.
An AW139 aircraft from OMNI will be allocated to Saipem for operations, departing from the Jacarepaguá base in Rio de Janeiro, as stated by the company.
The Commercial Director of OMNI Taxi Aéreo, Renato Clark, celebrated the new contract with Saipem for operations in the Búzios 5 Project over the coming months. This is another significant milestone for the company’s business portfolio in the Brazilian market this year.
He stated that the agreement “is the result of the integrated and coordinated work between several departments of OMNI, aiming to provide the client with a solution tailored to their needs while always seeking the best cost-benefit ratio.”
Saipem’s Contract with Petrobras for the Búzios 5 Project Will Include Major Services from the Company, Supported by OMNI’s Passenger Transportation
Saipem’s services for the Búzios 5 Project in the Santos Basin will be of great importance to the undertaking over the coming months.
It will provide Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) operations for the Steel Risers (SLWR), as well as flow lines between all the wells and the FPSO platform.
In addition, five production risers and five injectors and flow lines with a total length of 59 km are planned under the offshore company’s scope of work.
Over the next few months, it will work tirelessly to ensure the best operations for the Santos Basin project.
With the new contract with OMNI, Saipem relies on the company’s offshore passenger transportation services to boost its activities in the Búzios 5 Project by Petrobras.
