The Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP), Suzano campus, announced the opening of registrations for the Free English Course – Module I, with a workload of 200 hours. The selection process, governed by Public Notice No. 46/2025, takes place from August 30 to September 5, 2025, entirely online.
Classes will be offered in the Distance Education (EaD) modality, but with mandatory in-person meetings at the Dona Lindu Free School, part of the Metalworkers’ Union of ABC.
This opportunity is aimed at students and workers who wish to learn a new language at no cost.

More than 200 free and fully online courses with certificates are open for registration for people from all over Brazil, in areas such as technology, programming, management, and languages, and can be secured without fees, without a selection process, and only with a CPF and email until the end of June.

Take a free technical course and earn R$ 300 per month: there are 60 open slots in free technical courses to study Electrotechnics or Production Planning and Control (PPC) with support from SENAI-MS and the Bataguassu City Hall.
The selection will be made by order of registration, ensuring that the first candidates who meet the requirements have priority for the slots.
Free English Course with 120 Slots and Certification
IFSP is offering 120 slots for the English course, equivalent to the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
With a duration of 20 weeks, the program is ideal for those looking to begin studies in another language in an accessible and qualified way.
In addition to being completely free, the course does not require an entrance exam or selection test, only the fulfillment of the requirements set forth in the public notice.
Who Can Enroll in the IFSP Course?
To participate, it is necessary to:
- Be 15 years old or older;
- Have completed elementary school;
- Have internet access;
- Have basic computer knowledge to keep up with the EaD classes.
The target audience consists of students, workers, and those interested in obtaining professional qualifications to enhance their job market opportunities.
How It Works and Registration
Registrations will take place from August 30 to September 5, 2025, exclusively online, by filling out the electronic form available on the official IFSP – Suzano Campus website.
The required documents are:
- Official photo ID;
- Tax ID (CPF);
- Proof of education;
- Updated proof of residence.
Candidates who qualify for affirmative actions (black, brown, and indigenous individuals – PPI – and people with disabilities – PCD) or those associated with the Metalworkers’ Union of ABC must provide additional documentation as outlined in the public notice.
Selection Criteria and Priority
The selection will follow the order of registration. Slots will be prioritized for members of the Metalworkers’ Union of ABC, whereby:
- 25% of the slots are reserved for self-declared PPI;
- 5% of the slots will be allocated to people with disabilities.
Candidates from the general pool may be accommodated in remaining slots.
The final classification will be published on the official IFSP Suzano portal.
