The concession guarantees the continuity of operations from Archer to Equinor in Brazil until November 30, 2024.

The oil company estimates that it will invest approximately US$15 billion in Brazil by 2030, intending to increase its production by 3 to 5 times. Based on its current portfolio, the company could reach 300 to 500 thousand barrels per day. Currently the only asset operated by Equinor Brasil is the Peregrino field.

In 2020, the oil company will focus on starting operations on the second phase of Peregrino, with the installation of the third platform. Later on, the company will strive to start operating in the Carcará field in the pre-salt layer, in 2023/2024.
