Despite Current Problems Regarding Cargo Movement in Brazil, Asia Shipping Company Claims That 2022 Will Be Favorable for Exports and Warns of the Need for Improvements in Transport Logistics for the Market
The company focused on logistics for the transport of goods, Asia Shipping, has good projections for the Brazilian market regarding exports during the year 2022. Until this Monday, (30/05), the company believes that this year will be responsible for a significant growth in these operations and that relationships with the international market will become even stronger over the coming months.
Year 2022 Will Be Responsible for a Leap in Merchandise Export Operations to the International Market, According to Projections from Asia Shipping
The international market is still facing strong issues left by the Covid-19 pandemic and now also by the conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, which have had a significant impact on the product commercialization chain. However, despite the current unstable moment for these businesses, the multinational Asia Shipping believes that 2022 will be the year of Brazilian merchandise exports and that the country will strengthen its ties with the international market.
Thus, the company is preparing for growth in its business during the upcoming months of the year and projects good results. This is because, only during the first quarter of 2022, Asia Shipping expanded export operations by 42% and is now aiming to close 2022 with a 10% growth above the national market average.

While in Brazil the Transnordestina has been waiting for 67 years, China began drilling 29 tunnels through the mountains of Central Asia to build the first railway connecting three countries — it’s 523 km, US$ 4.7 billion, and 5,000 workers cutting rock at 3,000 meters of altitude

Norway is drilling 27 kilometers of rock 392 meters below the bottom of a fjord to build the world’s largest and deepest underwater road tunnel — when completed, a 21-hour journey will be reduced to 10.

1,720 meters beneath the Alps, workers have been excavating for 15 years what will be the world’s longest continuous railway tunnel — 64 kilometers of rock between Austria and Italy that will reduce a journey from 80 minutes to just 25.
The company further claims that it has good export logistics and solid partnerships in the international market to continue growing throughout the year and take advantage of growth projections for operations in the country. The situation for the month of May was not so favorable for these operations in the international market due to congestion at Asian ports, which caused a significant deficit in export operations.
In addition, international freight prices have been rising throughout the beginning of the year. However, Asia Shipping believes that the second half of the year will be marked by greater stability in the market and more favorable business opportunities, focusing on the international merchandise market.
Company Partnerships Continue to Grow and SerraBRAS Comments on the Importance of Export Logistics Relationships with the Multinational
With the aim of capitalizing on favorable projections for merchandise export logistics throughout the second half of 2022, Asia Shipping continues to focus on its current partnerships in the national market. Among them, SerraBRAS is one of the strongest, as the company offers export logistics solutions for the timber company, which exports components for the manufacture of pallets in various thicknesses, widths, and lengths, targeting the markets of Central America, Mexico, and the United States.
And, just like Asia Shipping, the company has seen significant growth in exports during the beginning of the year, as only in the first quarter of this year, the index reached 30% growth compared to the volumes exported in the same period of 2021. The company highlighted that the multinational was essential in this journey, especially during the logistical chaos of the pandemic.
Finally, Tiago Miranda, commercial director of SerraBRAS, commented on the partnership and concluded: “Exports have grown, but the supply of space has not kept pace. In this scenario of container and ship space shortages, Asia Shipping was able to accommodate our products and always demonstrated flexibility in seeking the best solution to meet the client’s needs. In 2020, we transported 2,200 containers with the Brazilian multinational, increasing to 2,800 last year.”
