Assaí Atacadista Joins GreenYellow and VoltBras to Revolutionize Electric Vehicle Charging in Wholesale Retail.
Assaí Atacadista, GreenYellow, and VoltBras have formed a strategic alliance since 2022 to boost electric mobility in Brazil. This collaboration led to the creation of a pioneering project that enables free charging of electric vehicles at over 20 Assaí stores across the country.
GreenYellow, a company focused on energy transition, is the driving force behind the installation of the charging equipment. On the other hand, VoltBras brings its specialized management platform and customizable app to the table, marking an important step in electric mobility.
Marília Damião, Marketing and Innovation Manager at GreenYellow, highlighted the importance of aligning purposes among partner companies. “Collaborating with VoltBras has been crucial for optimizing the efficiency of charging stations and providing a superior experience for our customers,” she stated.

Technological Solutions for Charging Station Management
The management platform, implemented by GreenYellow in the project with Assaí Atacadista for electric vehicles, allows administrators to monitor various operational metrics in real time. This includes information such as the number of connectors in use, potential failures in charging stations, and data on the value and average duration of each charging session.
The app developed by VoltBras for the electric mobility segment has been fully adapted to the visual identity of Assaí. This app not only facilitates payment but also allows users to reserve chargers, search for specific charging stations, and maintain a history of their activities and expenses, truly understanding if their actions contribute to the energy transition. “Our solutions are constantly evolving and are already fostering the business models of several companies in the energy and charging sector,” stated Ana Luiza Berti, Commercial Director at VoltBras.
“VoltBras has enormous potential to continue fostering the electric charging market. Its robust solution and collaboration with other key players can result in a hub of growing opportunities,” Marília added.
The Assaí Atacadista is a giant in the Cash&Carry sector, serving both consumers and small to medium traders. With a revenue of approximately R$ 60 billion in 2022, Assaí is the second largest retail company in Brazil. Its presence is felt across the country, with over 270 stores in 24 states and the Federal District, employing more than 70,000 people. This project in the charging stations of its network for electric vehicles further solidifies Assaí’s position as a leader in innovation and sustainability in the Brazilian landscape concerning the energy transition.
