The Kerui Method Chooses GE to Provide Control and Distribution Services to All Equipment Involved in the Gas Process

GE Power was chosen by Kerui Method Construction and Assembly, which is leading the construction of the gas processing unit at Comperj for Petrobras, to supply energy solutions for the project in Itaboraí (RJ), according to a statement from the American company. The gas unit, also known as UPGN, is part of Project Rota 3, designed to transport and process the raw material from the pre-salt, from the Santos Basin to Itaboraí

The unit will be the largest of its kind in Brazil, with the capacity to process up to 21 million cubic meters of gas per day. The custom e-house solution made by GE will be the largest of its kind in Latin America, covering an area of 800 square meters, GE said in a statement.

The e-house is a modular outdoor cabinet that houses transformers, distribution panels, and medium voltage equipment, among others, and will connect each piece of electrical equipment, providing power, protection, control, and distribution to all equipment involved in the gas process.
