B2W Digital, Owner of Americanas, Shoptime, Submarino, and Other Brands, Recently Announced That Its Entire Fleet of Trucks Will Start Using CNG and Biogas
Always investing in new paths that contribute to global sustainability, B2W Digital, owner of the brands Americanas, Shoptime, Submarino, and Sou Barato, has started operating its fleet of trucks that use compressed natural gas (CNG) and biogas as fuel. The fleet is the first in e-commerce in the country and, by the end of May, approximately 10 trucks will be circulating in the Southeast region, on various routes.

B2W’s trucks have the capacity to transport about 23 tons of cargo, and eight of these vehicles powered by CNG and biogas are already making trips and ensuring deliveries within 24 hours for B2W’s brands.
The trucks using CNG and biogas follow routes between several capital cities in the Southeast, connecting distribution centers to hubs. If one of the trucks owned by the brands Americanas and Shoptime travels from Rio de Janeiro to São Paulo using CNG or biogas, it prevents approximately over 500 kg of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere, reducing emissions by up to 95% compared to traditional models.
