R$ 72 Million Mega Yacht Begins Construction in Santa Catarina with Technological Innovation and International Projection
The shipyard in Santa Catarina began production of a yacht valued at R$ 72 million on June 3, 2025.
The vessel is already under construction and its main hull has been positioned in the central dock of Florianópolis.
In addition, the project features a hybrid propulsion system and high-strength naval aluminum structure.
Therefore, the model will be the most advanced ever built at the Santa Catarina shipyard.
The investment is surprising and symbolizes Brazil’s definitive entry into the international large yacht market.
Technical Details and Context
The development of the vessel began in January 2024 and followed a meticulous schedule.
In August 2025, open sea tests will begin to validate performance.
The delivery of the first yacht is expected in December 2025, according to naval engineers involved in the project.

A new giant Navy ship was launched into the sea and promises to expand France’s naval power; the Émile Bertin is scheduled to be delivered in 2027.
-
Gigantic ship with a million-dollar cargo of over 600 luxury cars docks in Santa Catarina.
-
Usiminas closed a contract to supply 5,200 tons of special steel for the four most advanced frigates the Brazilian Navy has ever built — each ship carries 1,300 tons of plates that need to resist the sea and explosions.
-
An American nuclear submarine fired a single torpedo at an Iranian frigate in the Indian Ocean and sent it to the bottom — it’s the first time the United States has done this since the end of World War II, in 1945.
In addition to structural innovation, the model features a modular interior, solar panels, and integrated digital controls.
European naval studios designed the solutions in partnership, and experts from ABNT validated them.
Thus, the project meets international standards of comfort, safety, and environmental sustainability.

Economic Impact and Perspectives
Over 300 collaborators are directly involved in the construction of the vessel.
Additionally, the project is expected to generate approximately R$ 200 million for the local economy by the end of 2026, according to data from ABENAV.
Thus, the state of Santa Catarina consolidates itself as an emerging hub of the nautical industry in Brazil.
On the other hand, there is an expectation of new international contracts after the delivery of the first model. After all, the innovation applied in the yacht has attracted interest from investors in the USA, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates. Therefore, the launch represents a strategic leap and, consequently, places the Brazilian naval sector on a different global level.
