R$ 72 Million Mega Yacht Begins Construction in Santa Catarina with Technological Innovation and International Projection
The shipyard in Santa Catarina began production of a yacht valued at R$ 72 million on June 3, 2025.
The vessel is already under construction and its main hull has been positioned in the central dock of Florianópolis.
In addition, the project features a hybrid propulsion system and high-strength naval aluminum structure.
Therefore, the model will be the most advanced ever built at the Santa Catarina shipyard.
The investment is surprising and symbolizes Brazil’s definitive entry into the international large yacht market.
Technical Details and Context
The development of the vessel began in January 2024 and followed a meticulous schedule.
In August 2025, open sea tests will begin to validate performance.
The delivery of the first yacht is expected in December 2025, according to naval engineers involved in the project.

Thus, the state of Santa Catarina consolidates itself as an emerging hub of the nautical industry in Brazil.
On the other hand, there is an expectation of new international contracts after the delivery of the first model. After all, the innovation applied in the yacht has attracted interest from investors in the USA, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates. Therefore, the launch represents a strategic leap and, consequently, places the Brazilian naval sector on a different global level.
