The interventions monitored by Governor Rafael Fonteles include the recovery of approximately 37 kilometers of the PI-464, between Pedro Laurentino and Paes Landim, in addition to the paving of 14 urban roads. The works also benefit residents of Socorro do Piauí, São João do Piauí, and neighboring municipalities.

The restoration works of the PI-464 advance between Pedro Laurentino and Paes Landim, in Piauí, with an investment exceeding R$ 10 million. The intervention covers about 37 kilometers and is part of a package to modernize the road network.

Governor Rafael Fonteles visited the services this Monday (22) and followed the asphalting of 14 streets in Pedro Laurentino. The urban paving receives almost R$ 1.5 million and covers more than 12,000 square meters.

Restoration works reach almost 40 kilometers

During the inspection, Rafael Fonteles stated that the recovery transforms the connection between Pedro Laurentino and Paes Landim. According to the governor, the renewed highway should strengthen regional integration and facilitate travel between the served municipalities.

The recovery of the PI-464 benefits residents of Pedro Laurentino, Paes Landim, Socorro do Piauí, São João do Piauí, and neighboring cities. The project aims to enhance the safety, comfort, and mobility of those who use the state highway.

The intervention is part of investments in road infrastructure. The proposal is to improve circulation conditions and support regional development through roads suitable for traffic.

Pedro Laurentino receives asphalt on 14 streets

In the urban area, teams are working on 14 roads, totaling more than 12,000 square meters of paving. The investment of almost R$ 1.5 million expands the local infrastructure and complements paving actions in the municipality.

Mayor Carlinhos Reis stated that Pedro Laurentino, although a small city, has received significant investments. He mentioned asphalt paving works, paving in urban and rural areas, and improvements.

For the municipal manager, the recovery of the highway and the paving of the streets represent gains in mobility, development, and quality of life. Both fronts concentrate state resources on regional access and urban roads.

Investments also reach other areas

Rafael Fonteles highlighted actions beyond restoration and paving works. Among them are the expansion of full-time education, the services of Piauí Digital Health, and other structural interventions in the municipality.

The road improvements are part of a state investment agenda in infrastructure, education, health, and social development.
