First Delivery Marks New Advance in Pre-Salt
OneSubsea completed, in August 2025, the delivery of the first wet Christmas tree (WCT) intended for Petrobras’s Búzios 11 project.
The factory located in Taubaté (SP) produced the equipment and delivered it within the contractual deadline. This reinforces the established partnership between the two companies.
Contract Provides for 15 Units and Associated Services
The contract signed in 2023 between Petrobras and OneSubsea provides for the supply of 15 wet Christmas trees, as well as electro-hydraulic units.

Also included are installation, commissioning, and maintenance services, essential to ensuring the continuity of operations in the pre-salt.
Since the Búzios 6 project, OneSubsea has secured all the contracts for subsea trees from the state-owned company, consolidating its presence in this strategic segment.
Delivery Reinforces Value of Industrial Partnership
According to Volmir Korzeniewski, Head of Subsea Production System (SPS) Brazil at OneSubsea, the first delivery represents a joint effort and a historic milestone.
During the ceremony in Taubaté, with the presence of Petrobras, it was emphasized that the operator’s recognition confirms the relevance of cooperation and technological advancement.
The partnership, which has lasted for years, has kept the pre-salt schedules within the established deadlines.
Installation Scheduled for 2026
The installation of the first WCT for Búzios 11 is scheduled for the first quarter of 2026 at well BUZ-11.P12, an oil producer.
This equipment will be crucial to allow the new platform to reach its nominal production capacity of 225,000 barrels of oil per day.
It is estimated that each well in the region has an average production of 40,000 barrels of oil per day, reinforcing the importance of this delivery for the pre-salt.
Production Will Be Centralized in Brazilian Units
The OneSubsea industrial unit, located in Taubaté (SP), will be responsible for manufacturing all the wet Christmas trees for the project.
Additionally, the Macaé (RJ) branch will carry out complementary services. These include commissioning and maintenance of the equipment.
Meanwhile, the strategic location of Macaé strengthens its importance in offshore operations. For this reason, the municipality has become a key point in the logistics of the energy industry.
This division of tasks ensures operational efficiency and strengthens regional logistics. While one base manufactures the equipment, the other executes essential services. Thus, the company integrates its structures, reinforcing the synergy between industrial units in different states.
At the same time, the strategy allows for reduced timelines and optimized resources. Although they are distinct operations, the units carefully coordinate the flow between them. This maintains quality, as well as agility in deliveries.
Additionally, this joint action contributes to the maintenance of the national supply chain. While each base has specific functions, both operate in synergy. This supports OneSubsea’s commitment to the Brazilian offshore market.
Therefore, the project demonstrates how territorial integration drives results. Even with logistical challenges, the company ensures consistent performance and adds value to its operations in the country.
