Challenges and Overcoming in Project Execution
Despite the advances, BYD faced challenges when the Jinjiang Group, a Chinese subcontracted company, was accused of subjecting workers to degrading working conditions.
The Brazilian Ministry of Labor identified 163 Chinese workers in irregular situations. In response, BYD immediately ceased relations with the company, but this may cause a slight delay in the completion of the first phase, initially scheduled for after Carnival.
Through these initiatives, BYD reinforces its commitment to innovation and sustainable growth, positioning the Camaçari complex as a strategic hub for automotive development in Northeast Brazil.
