The BYD Seagull was designed on the modern 3.0 platform and does not skimp on technological resources. The hatch measures 3.78 meters in length, almost “glued” to the dimensions of a current Mini Cooper. Its weight is 1160 kg, and the trunk can hold up to 265 liters of luggage.

Equipped with Blade type batteries, the Seagull delivers up to 74 horsepower and a torque of 133.7 kgfm. The range varies between 305 km and 405 km, depending on the battery version. The car also features a fast charging system, which takes the battery from 10% to 80% in just 25 minutes.
Finishing and Equipment: More Than the Basics with BYD
Even being a more affordable model, the BYD Seagull surprises with its quality finish and a robust range of equipment.
Highlights include a 7-inch digital dashboard, wireless phone charging, and a 12.8-inch multimedia center that can rotate 180º.
In terms of safety, the car features traction and stability controls, six airbags, collision warning, animal, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, and even autonomous emergency braking.
National Production Forecast and Prices: GWM, Ônix, Polo, and Fiat Argo Can Already Chase
A national production of the BYD Seagull is confirmed to start in 2024, which should make the model even more competitive in terms of pricing.
With speculation pointing to a value around R$ 100,000, the Seagull has everything to be a game changer in the BYD strategy in Brazil, following the steps of the success of the Dolphin model. GWM and the competition may feel the pressure sooner than expected.
With such a comprehensive package and competitive pricing, the BYD Seagull is not here to play around. It is the car that could revolutionize the electric market in Brazil, making technology accessible to a much larger number of consumers and truly giving the competition a run for their money.
