Startup Launches Ecological System Supported by CNRS and Challenges Traditional Air Conditioning with Unprecedented Electricity Savings
An innovation created in 2020 by the French startup Caeli Energi promises to transform the way people cool environments.
The equipment, developed with the support of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), consumes five times less energy and offers four times more thermal efficiency than conventional units.
Moreover, the proposal arises amidst rising temperatures and the search for cleaner, more economical, and sustainable solutions for thermal comfort.
Energy Efficiency and Reduced Environmental Impact
Since its founding, Caeli Energi has been working to solve two major problems of modern air conditioning: high electricity consumption and environmental impact.
To this end, the company invested in research between 2021 and 2024, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability.
The result was a high-performance and low environmental impact system capable of maintaining a stable temperature with minimal energy expenditure.
According to the startup, tests conducted in March 2025 confirmed significant reductions in energy bills and constant thermal comfort. Thus, the product becomes especially attractive for hot climate countries, such as Brazil, where electricity consumption rises during the summer.

Innovative Design and Superior Performance
The model features an oval shape and a height of 2.5 meters, which deviates from the standard of conventional air conditioners. Still, the futuristic design and superior efficiency attract the attention of engineers and consumers.
Additionally, the system was designed to combine elegance, performance, and sustainability, the company stated to the newspaper Le Monde in August 2025. The price ranges from € 2,500 to € 3,000, equivalent to R$ 13,500 to R$ 16,000.
Despite the high cost, Caeli Energi assures that the investment pays off over time. This is because the low electricity consumption generates continuous savings. With this, consumers reduce spending and help lower polluting emissions.
Global Trend of Sustainable Solutions
The global climate crisis, exacerbated since 2022, drives the development of sustainable technologies. In this context, the system from Caeli Energi stands out as a relevant advancement. The support from CNRS reinforces the scientific credibility of the project and the importance of investing in solutions that combine efficiency and environmental responsibility.
According to CNRS, the main objective of the partnership is to reconcile thermal comfort and environmental sustainability. Therefore, the startup believes that its technology can mark a new era in global air conditioning, where efficiency and environmental awareness go hand in hand.
International Expansion and Promising Future
Caeli Energi plans to expand production by 2026, prioritizing hot climate markets such as Brazil, India, and Australia. According to European experts, the equipment has the potential to replace traditional air conditioning and reduce global energy consumption.
Thus, the French technology proves that it is possible to unite savings, innovation, and sustainability in a single product. In addition, the company aims for continuous growth and the consolidation of France as a reference in green air conditioning.
