The Caixa Econômica Federal revealed that some people will receive, through the Caixa Tem application, a PIX of R$ 102 in the month of February. In this article, you will see who has the right to this extra money.

According to the Caixa Econômica Federal, people who are part of the Vale-Gás program will receive, this February, a PIX of R$ 102. This will be another installment of the benefit created by the federal government to assist families in social vulnerability who cannot purchase cooking gas with their own resources.

As mentioned, the payment will be made through the Caixa Tem application, an initiative created during the Covid-19 pandemic with the aim of making the Emergency Aid payments. Today, however, this application is being used for the payment of other government social programs such as Bolsa Família and the Vale-Gás itself.

Millions of People Will Have Access to the Vale-Gás

According to the Caixa Econômica Federal, this February, five million Brazilian families will be receiving, through the Caixa Tem application, a PIX related to the new round of Vale-Gás payments.

When Will the PIX Be Credited

According to information from Caixa, the PIX related to Vale-Gás will be made using the same rules as the Bolsa Família Program, meaning there will be a schedule based on the last digit of the Social Identification Number (NIS). Therefore, check how the payment order will be:

NIS ending in 1 – February 16;
NIS ending in 2 – February 19;
NIS ending in 3 – February 20;
NIS ending in 4 – February 21;
NIS ending in 5 – February 22;
NIS ending in 6 – February 23;
NIS ending in 7 – February 26;
NIS ending in 8 – February 27;
NIS ending in 9 – February 28;
NIS ending in 0 – February 29.

Do I Have the Right to the Vale-Gás?

Are you curious to know if you have the right to the Vale-Gás? If so, be aware that this benefit is aimed at those who meet certain requirements, such as being registered in the Single Registry and having a family monthly income that does not exceed half a minimum wage per person. Furthermore, to be eligible for the PIX, individuals must receive Bolsa Família or the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC).

PIX Can Be Used for Other Things

The PIX that will be credited in the beneficiary’s Caixa Tem application is related to the Vale-Gás. Is that clear? However, it’s important to highlight that the person does not necessarily have to use the money to purchase the item.

This is because the beneficiary, who can manage the money directly through the Caixa Tem application or, if preferred, withdraw it in person at Caixa Econômica Federal branches, can use this amount to pay bills, or, if preferred, transfer this amount to other accounts.
