Chinese Electric Sedan Nevo A06 Combines Ultra-Fast Charging, Up to 633 km Range and Level 2 Autonomous Driving Technologies to Attract Consumers.
The Chinese automaker Changan officially unveiled the Nevo A06 electric car, a mid to large-sized sedan that will hit the market in 2025 as a highlight of the brand’s electric vehicle lineup.
The model will be offered in 100% electric (BEV) and long-range hybrid (EREV) versions, focusing on performance, versatility, and technology.
6C Battery and Charging in Minutes
The main differentiator of the Nevo A06 is the 6C battery, which, according to the manufacturer, can charge at an impressive speed of up to 1 km/s.

Unprecedented achievement in India: a colossal 650-ton, nearly 3,000 hp excavator is transformed into 100% electric, marking a new phase in heavy mining.
-
Frightened by the speed of Chinese manufacturers, Renault decided to mimic the pace, made the new electric Twingo in just 21 months, wants to repeat the feat with 36 models by 2030, and along the way, will cut up to 2,400 engineering positions.

Chinese battery from Dongfeng promises to exceed 1,000 km without relying on liquid electrolyte, and the detail behind the technology could change the electric car competition.

The end of the automotive combustion era has already begun, but many in Brazil have not yet realized the magnitude of the shift towards Chinese electric cars.
This means that charging from 30% to 80% can be completed in just nine minutes.
From 10% to 80%, the process takes 12 minutes. This feature places the sedan among the fastest on the market in terms of charging.
The car is built on Changan’s SDA (Super DNA) platform, which combines generous interior space with modern electric propulsion solutions. The official launch is scheduled for later this year.
BEV Versions with Three Battery Options
In the 100% electric version, the Nevo A06 will be offered in two power configurations. The stronger model delivers 282 hp (210 kW), while the entry model offers 161 hp (120 kW).
Buyers will be able to choose between three lithium iron phosphate batteries: 42.12 kWh, 51.48 kWh, and 63.18 kWh. The estimated range under CLTC conditions varies between 420 km, 519 km, and 633 km, respectively.
The high-power version accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in just six seconds and features 800 V architecture, based on a high-voltage SiC platform.
Hybrid Variant with Range Extender
The EREV version combines a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with 97 hp (72 kW), used as a range extender, with an electric motor of 120 kW. The battery is 28.39 kWh and provides up to 180 km of 100% electric range in WLTC cycle.
The setup is designed for drivers who undertake longer trips, offering flexibility without sacrificing electric efficiency.
Level 2 Semi-Autonomous Driving
The Nevo A06 also bets on driver assistance technology. The roof of the vehicle houses a lidar system, complemented by three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and 11 cameras.
These devices enable advanced Level 2 autonomous driving features, providing more safety and convenience for the driver.
Nevo Line and Market Expansion
The Nevo line represents Changan’s entry-level electric vehicle family, launched in 2023. It already includes the compact sedans A05 and A06, as well as the mid-size A07. The A06 is derived from the Changan UNI-V, but has received new front and rear designs, while the A05 was based on the Changan Yida, also with visual updates.
In November 2024, Changan announced that its monthly sales of new energy vehicles (NEV) surpassed 100,000 units for the first time. The result demonstrates the brand’s strength in an increasingly competitive segment.
Strategy for the Future
With the Nevo A06, Changan aims to expand its global presence. The brand bets on the combination of ultra-fast charging, varied powertrain options, and driver assistance technologies as strengths to gain market share.
The expectation is that the model will become an attractive alternative for consumers seeking performance, efficiency, and innovation in a single sedan.
