Embraer’s urban mobility company, Eve, in partnership with the U.S. company Global Crossing Airlines Group, Inc. (GlobalX), confirmed last Wednesday (16) that they intend to purchase up to 200 electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, known as eVTOL, the English acronym.

According to the original article from the Exame website, written by Luciana Lima, the demand is part of a list of 1,785 requests for electric aircraft that Eve intends to sell over the next four years. The completion of the negotiations present in the letter of intent is subject to the execution of definitive decisions and the receipt of all necessary regulatory licenses.
Andre Stein, co-CEO of Eve, stated in a note on the company’s website: “We are very pleased with this partnership with GlobalX, which will maximize our efforts to structure Urban Air Mobility operations. Their experience as an airline will contribute to the expansion and implementation of Eve’s eVTOL in North America.”
