The Chevrolet Blazer EV Comes Equipped With 11-Inch Digital Instrument Panel, 17.7-Inch Multimedia Display, and Advanced Semi-Autonomous Driving System
The year 2023 will be filled with news for Chevrolet. At the beginning of the year, Big Brother Brasil was the stage for the launch of the brand-new Montana 2023. The pickup will compete with the Fiat Strada and Toro, as well as the Renault Oroch.
However, this is just one of the launches scheduled for this year, as Chevrolet also announced the launch of the Blazer in its electric version here in Brazil. According to the automaker, the vehicle surpasses the Camaro in power and can travel up to 515 kilometers on a single battery charge.
Both the Chevrolet Bolt EUV electric crossover and the large pickup, Chevrolet Silverado, will also be available here in the coming months. The availability of both vehicles was announced some time ago by the company. Next, the Spin minivan will undergo another redesign process.

However, the most important information is that the Chevrolet Blazer will return to Brazil in 2023. However, not in the way it was marketed and sold in the early part of the last decade. The model is now a more powerful electric vehicle than the Camaro, with a range of up to 515 kilometers.
The launch of the Chevrolet Blazer EV was initially scheduled for 2024 when it was announced for Brazil in June 2022. Still, the automaker indicated that it plans to introduce the vehicle to our market before the end of this year. There is no estimated price or list of versions yet, but we already know that it will be imported from Mexico, where it will be produced.
It is essential to consider that the model is not yet available even to customers in the United States. A company representative stated that the product’s introduction in Brazil will occur a few months after its debut in the United States. According to Chevrolet, the RS and SS models are the most likely alternatives to be launched, and they are also the most expensive, which makes sense considering that it is a luxury vehicle.
Most Powerful Chevrolet Blazer EV Model Will Have Engine Capable of Providing the Equivalent of 557 Horsepower, Which Can Accelerate From 0 to 100 km/h in About 4 Seconds
There are still a few details about the new Blazer EV that have not been disclosed by Chevrolet. For now, we know that the SS option will be the most powerful in the lineup. It will have an electric motor capable of delivering 557 horsepower and accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in about four seconds. The more stringent U.S. regulations compared to European ones stipulate that all-wheel drive and range should be at least 466 kilometers.
Although there are no performance data available for the RS option, it has a slightly improved range of 515 kilometers. The amount of time required to charge the new Chevrolet Blazer EV can vary. When using one of these fast chargers with 190 kW, it’s possible to recover 125 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes.
Both models also come equipped with an 11-inch digital instrument panel and a 17.7-inch multimedia display. These features are complemented by the advanced Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system, which, under certain circumstances, can operate the vehicle even when the driver is not holding the steering wheel.
The Blazer RS will have a starting price of US$ 51,995 (about R$ 271,600 at the current exchange rate) in the United States. The SS configuration has a significant markup, with a price in North America of US$ 65,995, which translates to about R$ 344,700 when converted directly. It’s worth noting that here in Brazil, there will also be the addition of taxes, so it is estimated that the Chevrolet Blazer EV will cost a significantly higher amount.
