The GAC Aion Y Plus Is Starting to Appear in Brazil, Marking an Important Step for the Chinese Automaker’s Entry into the National Market. Recognized as One of the Giants of the Automotive Industry in China, GAC Is Responsible for Manufacturing Vehicles for Brands Like Honda and Toyota, and Is Now Betting on Brazil with a Billion-Dollar Investment.

Two models from the Chinese brand, the GAC Aion Y Plus and the GAC Aion ES sedan, were spotted in São Paulo, suggesting that the official launch is closer than ever. Both were seen in an upscale area of the city, raising rumors about possible presentations for dealerships or exclusive events for potential clients.

Compact Electric SUV with a Striking Personality

The GAC Aion Y Plus is the main candidate to debut the brand in Brazil. Three units of the model have been registered in different colors: white, gray, and black. The bold design catches the eye, with gray details on the fenders, bumpers with orange accents, and a roof rack in the same color. Another highlight is the connected taillights and the large front headlights, which enhance its modern style.

Despite its minivan shape, the GAC Aion Y Plus is classified as a compact SUV and impresses with its electric motor of 204 hp and a range of up to 500 km. Its distinctive look and color options suggest that it aims to attract consumers looking for innovation and style.

GAC Aion ES: The Bet on the Electric Sedan

The GAC Aion ES is a more sophisticated electric sedan that was also spotted in São Paulo. With a 137 hp motor, a 55.2 kWh battery, and competitive range, it promises to be a robust alternative in a still-emerging segment in Brazil. Despite its generous dimensions—4.81 meters in length and a wheelbase of 2.75 meters—the model has a look that makes it appear more compact.

GAC in Brazil: 19 Models on the Radar

In addition to the GAC Aion Y Plus and the GAC Aion ES, the brand has already indicated that it intends to study the feasibility of at least 19 models for the Brazilian market, including hybrids and electric vehicles. Among the future candidates, other SUVs and sedans from the Aion line stand out, such as the Aion V Plus and the Hyper GT.

With the advancement of Chinese automakers in Brazil, GAC’s arrival represents another significant bet in the electric and hybrid vehicle sector. Without her own home and pressured by rent, a 25-year-old bought a small 15-meter boat, gradually renovated the interior by herself, transformed the interior with paint, new flooring, a larger bathroom, and started living on the canals, paying much less per month.

The Atacama Desert, the driest place on Earth, was covered in flowers and turned into a colorful carpet with more than 200 species in the phenomenon called “desert bloom,” when atypical rains awaken seeds that had remained dormant in the soil for many years.
