The Institution Part of the Government of Minas Confirmed Support Last Week. Event Will Take Place on November 16 and 17

The production of clean energy through hydrogen will be debated at the 3rd International Hydrogen Forum in Minas Gerais in November.

The event will take place simultaneously with the 8th Brazilian Congress on Distributed Generation (CBGD) on the 16th and 17th at Expominas BH, as well as host important sector specialists and significant sponsors to boost the sector in the country.

Last week, for example, it was the turn of the Minas Gerais Development Company (Codemge) to confirm its support for the event. It is important to note that the institution is a state-owned company with the mission to facilitate the promotion of state development, strategically boosting the Minas economy and being a vector for attracting investments.

The president of Codemge, Thiago Toscano, emphasizes that the Company is focused on fostering new businesses and attracting investments, with the simplification of processes and the stimulation of job and income generation. “Codemge’s mission is to facilitate the promotion of economic and social development in Minas Gerais. The strategic repositioning of the Company aims exactly at that: to enhance good business and partnerships between the public sector and the market,” he highlights.

Minas Gerais has been increasingly investing in the production of renewable gas to facilitate the promotion of state development, strategically boosting the Minas economy.

“When we act in technological incentives, we need to ensure that the action translates into new revenues for the state,” explains Toscano.

In this scenario, Codemge is increasingly qualifying itself as a structurer of viable and successful concession projects and public-private partnerships in the State.

Toscano also mentions the inclusion of the Company, in August of this year, in the State Policy on Concessions and PPPs of Minas Gerais. “It was a clear signal of the Company’s synergy with the state strategy and the repositioning. We were included in the policy because we have skilled, adaptable, and willing human capital to provide high-quality service to Minas society,” he comments.

The main goal is to bring benefits to the Minas population, with the Forum being a great opportunity for sector development in the state.

Organized by Grupo FRG Mídias & Eventos, the event will bring together key players, producers, consumers, manufacturers, sector technicians, academia, and government involved in the topic. It will also discuss, through important panels, the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

For Tiago Fraga, CEO of Grupo FRG Mídias & Eventos, Codemge’s support is crucial for the congress, as Minas has great potential for distributed generation and has hosted the event for the third time.

“This is the third year of the Brazilian Congress on Distributed Generation in Belo Horizonte, the largest event for energy generation from clean and renewable sources, and having Codemge’s support is very important. Minas Gerais is a state that has relevance and an interesting role, especially in the source of distributed generation through solar energy,” Fraga emphasizes.
