How To Register For Free Undergraduate Courses?

The reservation of places in free courses at the Federal University to combat the shortage of skilled professionals is exclusive to those who completed their High School in public schools in Brazil or equivalent schools, such as community institutions that operate in the field education sector, in partnership with the public authorities.

Individuals who have ever attended private schools for part of high school (even with a scholarship) or foreign schools will not be able to compete for the reserved places.

Within the 50% of places in free undergraduate courses of the reserve system, there are those aimed at self-declared black or brown individuals, low-income individuals, recognized as quilombolas, recognized as indigenous, and individuals with disabilities.

For registration in the free courses at the Federal University, which aim to combat the shortage of skilled professionals, candidates should access the site between January 17 and 21 and register as indicated.

At this moment, candidates should choose up to two course options, indicating the competition modality. The Ministry of Education (MEC) expects the results to be published on January 26.

Differentials Of The Free Courses At The Federal University

The Federal University has already published the so-called Term Of Adhesion, which presents detailed information about courses and shifts, emphasis, duration, number of vacancies, supporting documentation, and distribution of vacancies under the Quotas Law.

For 2025, focusing on combating the shortage of professionals, the Federal University also reinforces another change: equating community schools that operate in the field education sector, in partnership with public authorities, to public schools, for the purposes of affirmative action policies.

Thus, students who completed high school in community schools will have the same rights to reserved places as students from the public education network.
