Aegea, which is already working on projects in Vila Velha and Serra, won the auction and proposed a rate of R$ 0.99 per cubic meter of billed sewage, the largest discount on the established value in the tender.
In total, 423,000 residents of Cariacica and Viana will benefit from the PPP. Governor Renato Casagrande attended the auction yesterday. He highlighted the importance of the investment and emphasized that the goal is to popularize sewage treatment throughout the metropolitan area.
According to the State Governor, “The state capital, Vitória, has 90% of the network available and over 80% of sewage treated, the same reality as Serra. In Vila Velha, we have 90% of the network available and 89% of sewage treated. Now it’s Cariacica’s turn, which has the third-largest population in the state.”
