The Government of Mato Grosso do Sul Launched a New Public Competition with 400 Vacancies for the Civil Police. Salaries Exceed R$ 6 Thousand and the Tests Have a Scheduled Date.

The State Government of Mato Grosso do Sul Launched, on this Wednesday (16), the announcement of the public competition for the position of Judicial Police Officer. A total of 400 vacancies are offered, with 300 for Investigator and 100 for Clerk.

Applications will be open from July 16 to August 7, 2025, exclusively through the Instituto Avalia website. The fee is R$ 210.48, with the possibility of exemption according to the announcement criteria.

Initial Salary Exceeds R$ 6 Thousand

The initial remuneration is R$ 6,569.53 for both positions, with a workload of 40 hours per week. The schedule may include weekends and holidays.

The vacancies are divided between general competition and quotas for black people, indigenous people, and people with disabilities (PCD). Candidates competing through the quotas must follow the rules and provide the required documentation.

Stages Begin with Objective Test

The competition will be conducted in two stages, with phases such as objective written test, titles, psychological evaluation, medical-dental exam, physical test, social investigation, and training course.

The first phase will be the objective test, scheduled for September 14, 2025, in the city of Campo Grande.

Government Highlights Importance of Selection

Governor Eduardo Riedel stated that the competition is essential to strengthen public safety in the state. “We have demonstrated improvements in indices. A state with order and safety attracts investments. The examination was necessary. We need new officers in the Civil Police,” he said.

The State Secretary of Justice and Public Safety, Antônio Carlos Videira, emphasized the importance of reinforcing the workforce. “There will be 300 vacancies for investigators, 100 for clerks, who will be distributed throughout the State and in the Capital. We will also have 70 vacancies for socio-educational measures: 50 for socio-educators, 10 for social workers, and 10 for psychologists,” he explained.

Requirements Include Age and Higher Education Degree

Among the requirements are: being between 21 and 45 years old, being Brazilian, having a higher education degree in any area recognized by the MEC, being up to date with the Electoral Justice and, for men, with military service. It is also necessary to have a driving license of category B or higher.
