Last Wednesday, (04/03), Idecan announced on its social media that the much-awaited public competition for the Penitentiary Police of Ceará is about to become a reality. With an initial salary of up to R$ 10,400.56, the selection promises to offer 800 positions for the career, with 600 for immediate hiring and 200 for the reserve list.

The anxious wait of the candidates is coming to an end, with the Secretary of Penitentiary Administration of the state, Mauro Albuquerque, confirming the proximity of the announcement of the public notice.

How Many Positions Does The Exam Have?

The distribution of the 800 positions between men and women, as well as between the different types of competition, reveals careful planning of the examination.

With 680 positions allocated for males and 120 for females, the examination aims to ensure that both genders have the opportunity to join the Penitentiary Police of Ceará.

This division extends to both immediate vacancies and those in the reserve list, covering broad competition, quotas for black people and persons with disabilities, in addition to the division by gender.

How Much Does A Penitentiary Police Officer Earn?

The attractive salary offered to the successful candidates also sparks candidates’ interest.

With a basic salary combined with a Special Activities and Risk Allowance (GAER) of 60% over the base salary, the initial earnings reach R$ 4,206.28.

In addition, benefits such as food assistance and night shift allowances are guaranteed, the latter corresponding to 25% of the daytime hourly rate for work performed between 10 PM and 5 AM the next day.
