New Positions in Pre-Salt Petroleum: Public Contest Announcement to Be Released Soon, Offering Hundreds of Opportunities for Various Positions in One of the Most Strategic Sectors of the Country.
The first Pre-Salt Petroleum public contest for permanent staff is expected to offer 880 positions. In total, there are 100 immediate positions in the Pre-Salt and 780 to create a reserve pool, distributed across several higher education positions, with starting salaries of up to R$ 19,610.

The confirmation of the Pre-Salt contest was made by the company on the morning of this Thursday, November 7, after the publication in the Official Gazette of the Union of the contract summary with the organizing committee, which will be the Institute for Development and Training (IDCAP).

How Will the Pre-Salt Contest Exams Be?
The Pre-Salt public contest will reserve 5% of positions for people with disabilities and 20% for Black candidates. Fees will be R$ 100 for analysts and R$ 150 for lawyers and specialists. According to preliminary information, the exams for the Pre-Salt contest are expected to take place in the first half of 2025, in the cities of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Salvador.
The public contest will consist of stages such as objective tests for all positions, and written tests for lawyers and specialists in oil. The objective test will have 60 questions on Portuguese language (10 questions), English language (10 questions), and specific knowledge (40 questions).
The written test for the positions of Lawyer and Oil and Gas Specialist will consist of 2 questions, one in Portuguese and one in English, on topics related to the specific knowledge of the position, each worth 50 points, totaling 100 points.
How Was the Last Public Contest
Although the first Pre-Salt Petroleum contest has not yet been held, a selection process was conducted in 2017, offering 240 temporary positions in the Pre-Salt, with 15 for immediate filling and 225 to form a reserve pool.
