Applications for the new contest of the City Hall of Itaquaquecetuba have been open since January 6. The public contest includes a total of 1,056 vacancies in the City Hall for the staff of the Department of Education and 850 for the creation of a reserve list (CR). The company responsible for executing and organizing the selection is the Institute of Management and Social Development (IGD-RH).

The City Hall contest guarantees a reserve of 5% of the vacancies for People with Disabilities (PcD) and 20% for black and brown people. All vacancies in the City Hall are aimed at the position of teacher, for which the minimum education required is a degree in pedagogy.
Salaries reach R$ 3,4 thousand for a 24-hour work week. The municipality of Itaquaquecetuba is located in the São Paulo Metropolitan Region, just 40 km away from the capital.

The vacancies in the public contest for special education teacher (51 immediate + 200 CR) require a degree in pedagogy and a postgraduate degree in special education or graduation in special education.
The starting salary is R$ 3,438.52. For early childhood education teacher (155 + 300 CR) and elementary education teacher (350 CR), the requirement is a degree in pedagogy. Both positions receive a salary of R$ 3,161.18.
Those interested in the vacancies at the City Hall must meet some requirements such as:
- Brazilian or recognized foreign nationality, in accordance with federal law;
- Be up to date with military and electoral obligations;
- Be in full exercise of civil and political rights;
- Be at least 18 (eighteen) years old by the date of taking office.

Applications will close on February 2, 2025. The application form is available on the website of the Institute of Management and Social Development, the organizer of the selection process. After completing the registration, the candidate must print the bank slip related to the participation fee, in the amount of R$ 26.50, and make the payment by the deadline of February 3, observing the bank’s business hours.
To request a waiver of the application fee for the City Hall contest, the interested party must meet certain requirements. Thus, blood donors residing in this municipality for at least 2 years are exempt from paying the application fee.
Proof of residence must be made by means of a voter registration card and a utility bill (water, electricity, or telephone), and proof of donation must be provided through a document from the Pró-Sangue Foundation, Hospital das Clínicas, or another equally recognized agency. To benefit from the rights guaranteed in art. 1, the person must have been a donor for more than 1 year and be unemployed for at least 6 months.
Stages of the Selection Process
All candidates in the public contest will be evaluated through objective and essay tests, of an eliminatory and classificatory nature. The objective test will comprise 50 multiple-choice questions, distributed among the following subjects:
- Portuguese Language – 10 questions;
- Current Affairs – 5 questions;
- Municipal Laws and Decrees – 10 questions;
- General Knowledge in Education/Legislation – 10 questions;
- Specific Knowledge – 15 questions.
The essay must not exceed 30 lines, and its theme will refer to the program content and/or the responsibilities of the positions. The tests will be held on the scheduled date of February 23, 2025, at locations and times to be communicated in the convocatory notice, which will be published on February 18.
