Content creator claims to have found a curious pattern in FIFA’s official materials, comparing previous World Cup editions with champion teams and pointing to Portugal as a possible winner this year, although she herself says the theory should be seen as just for fun.

The 2026 World Cup color theory has once again caught attention on social media after content creator Paige claimed that the tournament’s official logo might curiously indicate who will be the champion.

While the winner remains undefined, the theory gained traction by relating the tournament’s official colors to the uniforms of champion teams.

World Cup theory emerged by comparison with the Super Bowl

Paige said she noticed the possible relationship after observing a similar idea involving the Super Bowl. In that case, the logo’s colors also coincided with the winning teams.

From there, she decided to analyze recent World Cup editions. According to Paige, the official colors of 2022 matched those of Argentina, the champion that year.

Then, she expanded the comparison and claimed to have found coincidences in previous editions as well, including 2018 and 2014. The creator cited France and Germany as examples within this sequence.

Portugal appears as a guess by the color theory

For the current edition, Paige believes that Portugal is the team that most closely matches the official logo’s colors. Therefore, as part of the fun, she points to the Portuguese team as a possible champion.

However, she emphasized that she does not treat the theory as a serious prediction. The creator herself stated that everything should be seen “for fun” and acknowledged that in football, any team can win or lose.

Even so, Paige said she considers Portugal a strong contender, as the team also appears among the favorites for the title. Her confidence in the theory was estimated at 74.3%.

Will the color coincidence repeat itself or is it just a curiosity of the networks? Leave your opinion in the comments: do you believe in this type of pattern or do you think it’s all just for fun?
