This model was already presented with great enthusiasm at the Chengdu Auto Show in China and is now taking its first steps on Brazilian soil with the registration of its design patents at the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI).

A Powerful Plug-In Hybrid System

The model is equipped with a Dual Mode Off-Road (DMO) plug-in hybrid system, consisting of a 1.5 liter gasoline engine with 197hp and two electric motors, one with 270hp and the other with 340hp. The hybrid system provides a combined power of 680hp and 77.49kgfm of torque. The power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 4WD system with three differential locks.

Range and Energy Efficiency

One of the major highlights of the Leopard 5 is its range. Equipped with the BYD Blade battery of 31.8kWh, this SUV can travel up to 125 kilometers in 100% electric mode. Combined with the combustion engine and an 83-liter tank, the total range reaches an impressive 1,200 kilometers, ensuring long trips without worries about frequent recharges.
