Construction company signs contract with the Department of Infrastructure of Santa Catarina to carry out containment work on a road in Serra do Rio do Rastro
On November 7th, the consortium led by the company Teixeira Duarte – Engenharia e Construções SA signed an agreement with the State Secretariat for Infrastructure and Mobility of Santa Catarina for the execution of a slope containment work at 25 points of operation on the SC road -390 that cuts through the Serra do Rio do Rastro, located in the south of the state.
The concession-construction contract has an expected execution period of 1 year and an investment equivalent to 4,3 million Euros. The project is in charge of the company FGS Geotecnia, which is part of the consortium with a 2,5% stake, while the company Teixeira Duarte holds 97,5%.
Known for its beautiful landscapes and waterfalls, Serra do Rio do Rastro is one of the calling cards of the state of Santa Catarina and is crossed by a highway over 35 kilometers long, which connects the municipalities of Bom Jardim da Serra to Lauro. Muller.
The execution of works along this highway is much awaited by the local communities, as constant landslides have been registered in recent years, impeding traffic in the affected stretches.
