According To Information Contained In A Publication Made In The Official Gazette Of The Union On March 25, This Adjustment Starts To Take Effect This Wednesday (03), Impacting Millions Of Brazilians Who Use The Services Of The State Company.
What Will Be The Adjustments Made By Correios
According To The Publication Made In The Official Gazette Of The Union, Both The Tariffs For National And International Postal Services Will Increase And Become More Expensive Starting On The Next Day 03 Of This Month.
These Increases, Which Total 4.39%, Were Approved By The Ministry Of Communications, Which Based The Adjustment On The Variations Of The Broad National Consumer Price Index During The Base Year Of 2023.

Because Of This Adjustment, These Will Be The Prices Now:
- Sending Letters And Postcards Weighing Up To 20 Grams: Was R$2.45 And Will Be R$2.55;
- Sending Letters And Postcards Weighing More Than 20 Grams Up To 50 Grams: Was R$3.40 And Will Be R$3.55;
- Sending Letters And Postcards Weighing Between 50 To 100 Grams: Was R$4.75 And Will Be R$4.95;
- Sending Letters And Postcards Weighing Over 100 Grams But Not Exceeding 150 Grams: Was R$5.80 And Will Be R$6.05.
In Addition, The Correios Also Established Other Adjustments, Now For The Authorized Letter Franchising (FAC). In The Case Of The FAC Price For Up To 20 Grams, There Was A Decrease In Price From R$2.17 To R$2.27. On The Other Hand:
- The FAC For 20 To 50 Grams Will Increase From R$2.98 To R$3.11;
- The FACs Between 50 And 100 Grams Will Change From R$4.26 To R$4.45;
- And The FAC Weighing Between 100 And 150 Grams Will Change From R$5.15 To R$5.38.
And What About International Shipments?
According To The Ordinance, When It Comes To International Shipments, Fees Will Be Applied According To Groups Of Countries. Check The Groups:
- Argentina, Paraguay And Uruguay;
- Other Countries In South America;
- Countries In Central And North America;
- European Countries;
- Countries In Asia, The Middle East, Africa And Oceania.
This Grouping Policy, As The Publication From The Ministry States, Varies. In This Sense, It Is Noted That The Range Defined By The Ministry Of Communications Goes From R$4.30 To R$239.60, But This Calculation Depends Both On The Weight Of The Mail In Grams And The Group Of Destination Countries.
In This Sense, It Is Expected That The Fees Charged For Shipments Leaving The First And Second Groups Will Be Cheaper Than The Others, Which Are Outside Of Latin America.
