A Embrapa Temperate Climate, in collaboration with Embrapa Genetic Resources, launched a new Free course and digital about the Conservation and Multiplication of Creole Seeds.
This course is a unique opportunity for anyone who wants to learn about Sustainable Agriculture and the importance of Creole seeds, addressing cultures such as corn, bean, onion, tomato, lettuce e pumpkins.
Course platform and objectives
Available on the platform E-Field, the course is part of a project that aims to make native and agroecological seeds available to meet the demand of family farmers.

With the support of seed guardian farmers, technicians and multipliers, the training seeks to form multiplier agents to improve local management of agrobiodiversity.
Course structure
The course content is composed of five modules:
1 º Module 1 – Agrobiodiversity: concept, principles and importance
2 º Module 2 – Forms and strategies for conserving agrobiodiversity
3 º Module 3 – Quality and legislation for seed production
4 º Module 4 – Agrobiodiversity management and participatory improvement
5 º Module 5 – Creole seeds: production and marketing
Impact and sustainable goals
Training is part of the efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the ONU, focusing on goals such as zero hunger, Sustainable Agriculture, and biodiversity maintenance.
All courses from Embrapa are open for registration on the platform E-Field, with free and paid options via Edmundo Gastal Support Foundation (Fapeg).
