Civil Construction: sector that most opened vacancies in 2020 and that can generate up to 200 job opportunities in 2021
The civil construction sector was one of the sectors that hired the most during the Covid-19 pandemic. The works, as they do not require highly qualified labor, ensured several job opportunities for the most economically vulnerable people. It was the sector that created the most opportunities, both with a formal contract and with informal or self-employed workers, in 2020.
Experts show that, after overcoming the challenges of scarcity and rising prices of inputs, the civil construction sector should continue to heat up in 2021 and could generate another 200 jobs this year.
The General Register of Employment and Unemployment - Caged, which only evaluates jobs with a formal contract, also points out that the civil construction industry is the sector with the most vacancies from January 2020 to November 2020: 157.881 thousand. An increase of 34,6% compared to the same period in 2019.
