The New C3 Arrives with Price Below Direct Rivals, Interior Updates, Adventurous XTR Version, and Citroën’s Reinforcement After Integration into the Stellantis Group. Model Takes Position as the Cheapest 0 km Car in Brazil in 2025.
On Wednesday (03), Citroën presented the 2026 line of the C3, which debuts with a price of R$ 74,990 and takes the spot as the cheapest zero-kilometer car in Brazil in 2025, ahead of rivals like Fiat Mobi, Renault Kwid, Chevrolet Onix, and Fiat Argo.
The title considers the official prices, not including occasional discounts or promotional programs applied by competitors. The repositioning reinforces Citroën’s change of image in the country.
Previously associated with high maintenance costs and resale difficulties, the brand has gained momentum after being incorporated into the Stellantis Group, a conglomerate that also includes Fiat, Jeep, and Peugeot.

With 122 hp, fuel consumption of up to 17.7 km/l, and a trunk capacity of 440 liters, this hybrid SUV impresses even though it costs up to R$ 47,000 more than the Yaris — meet the Toyota Corolla Cross.

With a price almost R$ 100 thousand lower, the Haval H9 surpasses the SW4 for the first time in March, but Toyota still leads in the accumulated total for 2026; the Chinese SUV bets on technology and premium finishing to compete at the top.
The integration brought a broader dealer network, availability of parts, and a more aggressive commercial strategy, contributing to making the C3 one of the company’s central bets in the Brazilian market.
Quality and Connectivity Upgrades
The compact received internal improvements to elevate the perception of quality.
Among the new features are new fabrics for the seats, updates to the driver’s armrests, and the front panel.
The Citroën Connect Touchscreen multimedia center, equipped with a 10.25-inch screen and wireless mirroring for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, now has ultra-thin edges in glossy black, integrating the unit more seamlessly into the dashboard.

The list also includes two USB-C ports for the rear seat, a feature that enhances convenience on trips.
Revised Ergonomics and Digital Dashboard in Higher Versions
From the Feel version onward, Citroën has moved the electric window controls from the area between the front seats to the driver’s door, a solution that addresses ergonomics criticisms since the model’s launch.
In the more complete configurations, the C3 now features a colored digital instrument cluster, previously limited to the Basalt and Aircross.
This novelty facilitates the visualization of driving information and reinforces the modernization of the cabin.
XTR Version Brings Adventurous Style
The 2026 line also marked the return of the XTR designation, used by the brand in the 2000s.
The version bets on a unique visual appeal, with darkened 15-inch alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, black logo and front grille, as well as stickers on the hood and sides. The black roof is offered as an option.

Located below the You version, the XTR establishes itself as the most complete option equipped with the 75 hp 1.0 Firefly aspirated engine, balancing price and content.
The You version remains at the top, with a 130 hp T200 turbo flex engine.
Engine Range
The portfolio maintains two main engine options.
The 1.0 Firefly flex aspirated engine, with 75 hp, serves the entry-level and mid-range versions.
The T200 turbo flex, with 130 hp, is available only in the most expensive version.
The introduction of the XTR strengthens the offering among the 1.0s, allowing consumers to seek more equipment without moving up to the price level of the turbocharged versions.
Citroën C3 2026 Prices
According to the official table, the model arrives in five versions:
- C3 Live – R$ 74,990
- C3 Live Pack – R$ 83,990
- C3 Feel – R$ 85,990
- C3 XTR – R$ 88,990
- C3 You – R$ 103,990
Is the C3 Really the Cheapest in Brazil in 2025?
With a price of R$ 74,990, the C3 Live is below the main competitors. The Fiat Mobi Like starts at around R$ 77,990.
The Renault Kwid Zen costs between R$ 78,690 and R$ 79,790. Models like the Chevrolet Onix and Fiat Argo already exceed the R$ 85,000 range in basic versions.
It is worth noting that at some previous times, the C3 was listed with prices above R$ 80,000, which removed it from this position.
The adjustment of the 2026 line, however, repositions the hatch as the cheapest zero km car in the country.
The classification does not take into account specific promotions, such as factory discounts or temporary incentive programs.
Stellantis’s Bet on the Brazilian Market
Citroën has undergone a significant change in perception over the years. The incorporation into the Stellantis Group allowed the brand to correct some historical after-sales issues, such as parts replacement and authorized network support.
This integration has also brought greater price competitiveness and strategic support, factors that explain the current receptivity of the public to the C3.
The hatch has become a key player in Stellantis’s offensive to occupy the entry-level segment in Brazil, a position previously dominated by Mobi and Kwid.
Now, with a price of R$ 74,990, the C3 broadens Citroën’s reach and reinforces the group’s strategy to diversify the portfolio without losing the volume contest.
In this scenario, Brazilian consumers find a wider range of options in the popular car segment.
The question is: will the new positioning of the C3 be enough to consolidate Citroën’s image change in the country and truly transform it into a more trusted brand?
