Mitsubishi is preparing a big surprise for the Brazilian market: the new generation of the L200 Triton. With arrival expected in 2025, the pickup will be produced at the factory of the brand in Catalão (GO), marking the beginning of national production of the model, according to Estadão.
The new Mitsubishi L200 Triton pickup, which has already had its industrial design registered with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), will arrive with a completely renewed look. The front grille, divided into three sections, is taller and features “C”-shaped contours at headlight level, along with a set of daytime running lights. At the rear, the taillights have been redesigned, maintaining the robust identity of the pickup.

Man built a 5-acre lake to raise bass, but after 1,000 days the project turned into a wildlife sanctuary with eagles, deer, ducks, owls, and live cameras that transformed the farm into a biodiversity laboratory.
With an increase in dimensions, the new L200 Triton pickup now measures 5.36 meters in length, 1.93 meters in width, 1.81 meters in height, and 3.13 meters in wheelbase. The bed has also been updated and is 45 millimeters lower, making it easier to load and unload cargo.
Engine and Performance in the New Mitsubishi Pickup
On the mechanical side, the pickup will feature the same 2.4 turbo diesel engine, but with some changes for the Brazilian market. Power can vary between 149 hp and 214 hp, with torque from 33.6 mkgf to 47.9 mkgf. The transmission will be manual or automatic, both with six speeds, with 4×4 traction with low range, ensuring excellent performance in various terrain conditions.
With all these innovations, the Mitsubishi L200 Triton 2025 promises to be a great success in the market, competing head-to-head with well-established models like the Toyota Hilux, Chevrolet S10, Ford Ranger, and the newly launched Fiat Titano.
