Foresea Will Present Ultrasound Technology for Automation of Gage Control on the First Day of ROG.e, Also Highlighting Projects in Upstream and Digital Sustainability.
Foresea will unveil a new ultrasound technology aimed at automating gage control on the first day of ROG.e, in addition to presenting projects focused on Upstream and Digital Sustainability. With a constant focus on innovation, the company continues to be a driving force in the offshore drilling sector, bringing advanced solutions to improve the efficiency of its operations.
Foresea, known for being a reference company in safety and operational efficiency in the offshore drilling sector, is committed to raising the standard with its new technologies. Maintaining the highest operational uptime rate in the market, Foresea ensures that its operations not only meet industry requirements but exceed them, thus offering offshore drilling solutions that are both effective and sustainable.
Gage Control Automation Project
Foresea, known for being a reference company in safety and operational efficiency in the offshore drilling sector, is preparing to present an innovative project on September 23. This pioneering project involves the automation of drill pipe gage control, replacing the old method of manual monitoring of tubular obstruction that is still widely used in the Oil and Gas industry. During the ROG.e event, one of the largest meetings in the global Energy sector organized by the Brazilian Institute of Oil and Gas (IBP), Foresea will demonstrate this and other initiatives from September 23 to 26 in Rio de Janeiro.

Ultrasound Technology and Specific Algorithm
The gage control system developed by Foresea uses ultrasound technology, connected to a specific algorithm capable of detecting tubular obstructions much more quickly, accurately, and safely. Moreover, this technology allows for the automation of this part of the process on the drill floor. These innovative projects, which result in greater safety and operational efficiency, are continuously developed by Foresea’s innovation and engineering team. Recently, the company also announced a project for total automation of the drilling process, set to be implemented on the Norbe IX rig.
Offshore Drilling Companies
Participating in ROG.e with the presentation of pioneering technology and several other successful projects is a source of pride for us, comments Heitor Gioppo, COO of Foresea. Foresea has been dedicated to improving processes and to the development of projects and technologies that make operations safer and more sustainable. During the event, the company will showcase projects within the frameworks of Upstream and Digital Transformation. Among them, the Digital Sustainability project stands out, providing an annual savings of R$ 800,000.00 due to the digitalization of internal processes, reducing the purchase, use, and storage of paper.
Successful Projects Presented at ROG.e
The cases presented by Foresea at ROG.e include the automation of drill pipe gage control, Digital Sustainability in offshore operations, dynamic monitoring of semi-quantitative risk analysis barriers, an approach to Enterprise Risk Management, and the reliability journey. Each of these projects reflects the company’s commitment to innovation, safety, and operational efficiency.
