What started as a side income attempt, sewing scarves on a folding TV table, transformed into a established luxury brand. Today, 27-year-old entrepreneur Olivia Cleary earns six figures a year with her company The Clearly Collective, according to the Exame website.

Her success story shows how creativity, strategy, and sound financial decisions can turn a simple hobby into a multimillion-dollar business.

How It All Began

In 2022, while working as an architectural designer in New York, entrepreneur Olivia decided to use her free time to sew polyester scarves inspired by architectural landmarks. The reception was immediate, and thanks to TikTok, her products quickly went viral, attracting customers from all over the country.

With the increase in demand, she reinvested the profits and improved her products. It was then that she switched from polyester to silk and raised the price of her scarves from US$ 45 to US$ 135, positioning her brand in the luxury market.

Smart Strategy Boosted Entrepreneur Growth

Strategic Reinvestment: Instead of spending the initial profits, Cleary used them to improve product quality.
Market Repositioning: The transition to luxury opened doors for partnerships with major brands, such as St. Regis Hotels, McLaren Automotive, and Bacardi.
Effective Digital Marketing: Utilizing social media, especially TikTok, helped to reduce advertising costs and expand brand reach.

The Impact of Financial Management

Recognizing the potential of her business, entrepreneur Cleary sought training to ensure its sustainability.

In April 2023, she quit her job to dedicate herself 100% to The Clearly Collective. Today, 65% of the company’s revenue comes from corporate contracts, demonstrating the strength of her financial strategy.
