Embraer is now accepting registrations for the third edition of the Software Specialization Program (PES), conducted in partnership with the University’s Informatics Center (CIn) Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). The free course is fully remote and offers a scholarship worth R$ 5 thousand and assistance with materials, paid in a single installment of R$ 3 thousand.

In total, there are 35 vacancies in the free online course from Embraer focused on individuals who graduated in exact sciences (bachelor’s and technology) between the years 2018 and 2023 across Brazil.
The focus is to enhance the knowledge of new professionals in the fields of Embedded Software Development and Data Science, meeting the current and future demands of the aerospace industry.

Embraer Specialization Course Will Be Divided into Three Modules
Divided into three modules, the Embraer course has a curriculum spanning nine months, and professionals receive a Lato Sensu graduate diploma from UFPE, an institution recognized for its high impact on Brazil’s innovation ecosystem.
The program coordinator, Professor Adriano Sarmento, from the CIn-UFPE, explains that among the differentials of the free software specialization course are the curriculum that covers various demands in software and hardware development in the aerospace industry and strong interaction between professors, students, and Embraer collaborators, which shows the relationship between the various subjects addressed in the disciplines and real challenges.

Registrations and online tests will take place from September 25 to October 31, and are completely free. This stage is classification-based, and aspects of eligibility, curriculum analysis, and results of the online tests will be verified.
The second stage is the invitation for a technical exam by November 24. Following that, the technical exam on computer knowledge will be conducted by December 10.
This exam will cover subjects such as Algorithms and Data Structures, Software Engineering, Probability and Statistics, and Mathematics for Computer Science. The fourth stage is the invitation for dynamics and interviews by January 11.
The group dynamics and online interviews constitute the fifth stage, scheduled for the 17th of the same month. The sixth stage is the call for the approved candidates, and finally, the start of the program is expected in March 2024.
