From Oil Production in the Pre-Salt to the Most Modern Aesthetic Treatments. The Four Friends Decided to Venture into a Field That for Many Would Be a Radical Change
Life at sea is not easy. It’s 12 hours of uninterrupted work daily in alternating shifts, along with little contact with family over two weeks—that is, 14 days of confined work on platforms 250 km off the Brazilian coast. This is the reality of those who produce oil in the pre-salt off the coast of Rio de Janeiro. Not only is there the difficulty of contacting family and even each other, due to different work schedules, but four friends who live this life at sea decided to combine forces and ideas to venture into the trendiest field of the moment: body and facial aesthetics.

According to studies by the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM), in partnership with Sebrae and the Brazilian Institute of Quality and Productivity (IBQP), Brazil ranks first in entrepreneurship, surpassing China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and France. The data shows that 3 out of 10 Brazilian adults aged 18 to 64 are entrepreneurs or are developing their own business. Over the past 10 years, the data has increased from 23% to 34.5%, and half of these are new entrepreneurs, with less than three and a half years of activity.
Additionally, data from the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) shows that Rio de Janeiro is among the 30 best cities in Brazil to open a franchise. The research considered the number of units and networks opened and their growth in the regions.

From Oil Production in the Pre-Salt to the Most Modern Aesthetic Treatments
Analyzing the favorable data, friends Yuri Bastos, Anderson Braga, Leonardo de Siqueira, and Joemar Narciso inaugurated a new unit of Ad Clinic in Copacabana. The company is one of the most successful franchises in recent years.
The four friends decided to venture into a field that can be considered the opposite of the work field that brought the three together. From oil production in the pre-salt to the most modern aesthetic treatments. This 180° turn, which for many would be a total career change, for them is a way to combine knowledge as they affirm that oil production is still their great passion.
The AD Clinic, located at Av. Nossa Sra. de Copacabana, 1155, received VIP guests, and the partners were able to confirm expectations, “just on opening night we managed to meet our sales target,” says Anderson.
“We want to provide a wellness and beauty experience to our clients, to differentiate ourselves in this field with excellent service and cutting-edge technology equipment. In addition to offering competitive prices to stimulate the local economy with the proposal ‘Tempo Beleza’ that the Ad Clinic advocates, this was one of the main reasons for our choice of the franchise,” comments Leonardo.
The inauguration followed all safety protocols due to restrictions. The space already offers more than 100 aesthetic procedures, including InfraRedux, which aims to reduce swelling and detoxify the body through heating a specific area, such as the abdomen, flanks, legs, or the whole body.
