City of Rio das Ostras Is Presented to the Chinese Delegation, Which Showed Interest in the Good Infrastructure of ZEN

The city of Rio das Ostras, located on the North Fluminense coast, received a visit from a delegation of Chinese individuals interested in getting to know ZEN (Special Business Zone).
The visit of the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China, Li Yang, was to discuss the establishment of a factory by the Chinese state technology company, Huawei.

Confirmation of the factory’s installation and technological investments will be excellent news for the city’s residents who have always aimed to attract foreign companies to the municipality.
The delegation from Rio das Ostras made a presentation of the city, and the Chinese delegation was very pleased with the infrastructure offered and the location, close to BR 101 and the offshore hub.

The director of the Chinese state technology company Huawei, Tyler Du, spoke with city representatives about the possibility of setting up a unit for Rio das Ostras and liked what he saw in ZEN.
The Rio das Ostras delegation included the Secretary of Economic Development and Tourism, Aurora Siqueira, the Undersecretary Gilberto Menezes, and the Social Communication Advisor, Luiz Gustavo Tebaldi.

The establishment of a factory of this size in Rio das Ostras will mean income generation and job vacancies, leading to economic development in the municipality, which is now awaiting the visit of a new Chinese delegation later this semester, this time more technical, to facilitate the venture.

Brazil and China

The meetings between the presidents of Brazil and China are part of an agreement to enhance cooperation in trade, agriculture, culture, tourism, and sports, as well as to deepen partnerships in infrastructure, manufacturing, mining, energy, industrial capacity, and scientific innovation.

As we have seen, Chinese investments and interests in our country have been happening since last year, such as the resumption of works at Comperj and more recently in the demonstration of interest in the infrastructure auctions planned by the new government for this year.
