Poland Startup Creates Seatless Bike That Combines Full-Body Exercise With Urban Mobility in an Upright Position.
A seatless bike with an ergonomic structure and innovative design is attracting attention from those seeking sustainable and active alternatives for daily transportation.
Created by the Polish startup Ensavid, the Shape-Me Bike combines urban mobility with physical activity, challenging traditional commuting patterns in cities.
A Proposal That Activates the Whole Body
Unlike conventional bikes, the Shape-Me Bike has no seat. Instead, it offers support on cushioned ergonomic wheels, allowing the user to pedal in an upright position. This reduces pressure on the spine and promotes a healthier posture.

In addition to the legs, the system engages arms, shoulders, and core, providing a complete functional workout with every movement.
Pendulum-Based Technology
The mechanics of the bike are based on a pendulum system. The user propels the movement by alternating force between the arms and legs.
When pushing, the biceps, lats, and glutes are activated. When pulling, the triceps, pectorals, and abs are engaged.
Thus, each pedal stroke becomes coordinated and intense exercise, directly impacting the cyclist’s fitness conditioning.
Simple Design, Easy Maintenance
Despite the innovation in use, the Shape-Me Bike retains traditional components, such as chain transmission, hubs, and gears. This makes the model more accessible for production and easier to repair in regular shops.
According to the startup, this simplicity is an important advantage for widespread adoption, especially in urban centers.
The project has already undergone several tests with prototypes. Improvements have focused on ergonomics, smooth movement, and material durability.
The work is led by designer Paweł Wawrzyński, who has received positive feedback from the Polish Patent Office and the International Search Authority of the PCT.
Funding Campaign and Next Steps
Currently, the Shape-Me Bike is in the patenting phase, and its creators have launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Indiegogo platform.
The goal is to raise funds to begin large-scale production and enable market launch.
The proposal attracts people interested in health, technology, and sustainable mobility. By combining active transportation with physical practice, the Shape-Me Bike contributes to cleaner cities with less pollution and a more active population.
Moreover, the use of common materials and local production reinforces the commitment to durability and waste reduction.
